Oldies but Goodies

A week and a half ago, I was told that my job had been eliminated.  Because of this, I find I have a lot more time on my hands.  I have been feeling a little nostagic too.  This feeling has spilled over into my crafting and I find myself digging through older Close to My Heart stamp sets.  I made these cards using some "oldies but goodies".

Been Away Too Long

So you may have noticed I'm more than a little behind on my posts.  I agree, I have been away too long.  I do have one good reason and some not so great excuses but all that doesn't matter.

Anyways, I'm back now.  I won't guarantee I write every day or even every week, but I will continue to write at least once a month.

In the time I have been gone, there have been many changes with CTMH.  We now have two Cricut cartridges.  You need to check it out as to what these can cut and all the 3D products you can create.

We have added fabric to our accessory offering.

Below is also one of our newer products.  I love this display tray.  I made this with the new paper pack Buzz and Bumble, my favorite pack in the new Idea Book

Click the Idea Book icon and browse through the catalog.  It's one of the best yet.

November Stamp Of the Month - Cherish the Day and November's Holiday Wishes

Here it is already the 2nd of November and because of some unforseen circumstances, I am without a sample of this month's Stamp of the Month.  Below are some beautiful examples of what you can do with this unique stamp set from CTMH.

Also this month, CTMH is having a promotion called "Holiday Wishes".  When you place a minimum order of $25 in My Acrylix® stamp sets* between November 1–30, you can add a new D-size Holiday Wishes stamp set for only $5! That’s a significant savings off the full retail value of $17.95 US / $19.95 CAN. You may buy one Holiday Wishes stamp set for every $25 in qualifying stamp sets you purchase. As a creative bonus, many of the images in the set coordinate with our Cricut® Art Philosophy cartridge for added cutting and stamping fun!

Halloween

HALLOWEEN, to me it's one of those holidays that we celebrated for our kids.  I don't like carving pumpkins and touching all that gook in the middle of it.  In fact, it is Dad's job to carve the pumpkins with our kids.  I was never one to decorate the house or make Halloween cards.  I have friends that would get into costume when they took their kids trick or treating but that wasn't for me either.  So I'm not  sure why I just had to have the Mischief WOTG along with Wicked, August's SOTM.  I have made all the WOTG scrapbook pages as well as a few others, plus I have even made a card or two.  Below is my favorite.  I just love the cobwebs.

Craft Fairs

It has been years since I've done a craft fair and now I have two in two weeks.  Because of this, I have been making cards, layouts, and other miscellaneous items that could be purchased for teachers gifts, etc.  It's not that I don't have the materials to make a ton of items, especially since I was and still am an avid collector of all things paper and any products that can be used with them.  I'm just not sure what people would be looking for.  Hopefully, it will be some of what I'm selling.

These are just a few of the items.  Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Chris

October 2011: Holiday Magic (S1110)

In less than two months Christmas will be here again.  For my kids, that is a long way off and for me, every year it takes me by surprise.  Don't get me wrong, it does cross my mind around this time of year in the form of a cookie list, card list, shopping list etc., and the next thing I know it is mid December, lists are started and I'm rushing to complete. For this I have no excuse, especially since it isn't a holiday that falls on different calendar days each year.

This year I made a promise to myself that I would be ready no matter what.  So when I saw our Stamp of the Month for October, I knew this would be one item I'd be able to cross off my list early this year.  These stamps are so cute and I have gotten a great start on my cards

If you would like to have this stamp set, please click the shop with me icon.  This stamp set can be yours for $5.00 with a $50.00 purchase.

Thanks for looking,
Chris

Procrastination

Procrastination, at times that word should be my middle name.  Procrastinate is exactly what I did when it came to ordering the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge set.  I waited to order it until the end of August and when I did, it was on backorder.  Now mind you, although I knew I was going to be ordering it at the end of the month, I was okay with waiting, but once it was on order, I couldn't wait until it shipped.  Imagine my disapppointment when I found out it was on backorder and the ship date would be on or before September 12th.   I checked my email every day sometimes more than once hoping it was shipping, but no shipping notice came.  Then September 12th and I had received my shipping notice. Well, it was delivered late last week, and I have to tell you, I have been playing with it and having lots of fun.  With 700 images on the cartridge, I think I will be having tons of ideas for a long time. Besides the cartridge, the set also contains 3 stamp sets and chipboard Dimensional Elements providing hours and hours of creative fun.

I made these 2 layouts using Olivia, a paper set from last fall and the Cricut cartridge and stamp set.  I just love the leaf and acorn.
